With help from leading contemporary designers, Downtown for Democracy has redesigned the Oval Office to express America’s highest ideals. The furniture that comprises the new office will be available for bidding. Lighting, flooring, furniture, and table-top objects will be offered at live and silent auctions. Items will be new and vintage. Bids for items in the silent auction can be placed through our website until the day of the event.

WHAT IS DOWNTOWN?
Downtown isn't a geographical place, it's a state of mind located in the territory that gave us communities like Greenwich Village in the 50’s and Soho in the 70’s. Downtown isn't a single place, it exists all over the country, anywhere the creative impulse lives. Downtown is America’s creative center - a community where culture is the most important product.
Although Downtown is seen by some as the fringe, it is in fact, the center, a place that looks far into the future. Downtown is where ideals and freedoms are first imagined, communicated and fought for. From the labor movement to free speech to civil rights to Stonewall, Downtown has always envisioned and instigated change. That's what we create and what we export. Right now Downtown must come together for another kind of change: Regime change in the U.S.A
